About the Event

This topic is the fifth in a series of discussion topics that our community voted on:

  • Stress & coping - November 7, 2023
  • Home management - January 16, 2024
  • Relationships - March 12, 2024
  • Identity & self-expression - May 14, 2024
  • Co-occuring conditions - July 18, 2024
  • Education, work & learning - September 22, 2024

We hope you'll join us to talk about how sensory processing differences show up in the areas of education, work, and learning. We will focus the discussion around:

  • how to navigate the accommodations process, both formally and informally,
  • how to find a way to advocate for yourself that fits your communication and interaction styles,
  • when and how to disclose your sensory processing differences to others

We aim to make this (and all our groups) as inclusive, safe, and accepting as possible. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.

The groups will be facilitated by one or more occupational therapists, but the content of the conversation will be based on participant questions and comments. These groups will not be recorded so please only register if you plan to attend live. A recap email will be sent to all registered guests.

Each discussion group is $15 per participant. Contact us at sensorynerds@gmail.com if the cost is a barrier for you. We have a limited number of sponsored tickets available. Space is limited.
